Bethel Meant "House of GOD"... What Went Horribly Wrong? 2 Kings 2 Sermon Series | John Giftah
John Giftah
Bethel was known as the "House of GOD"—a place of worship and divine encounters. Yet in 2 Kings 2, it turned into a center of mockery and rebellion against the prophet of the LORD. How does a place—or a believer—drift so far? In Episode 1 of this series on 2 Kings 2:23–24, John Giftah delivers a vital spiritual reality check: It’s not just about how you start; it’s about how you finish. Many Christians coast on past spiritual milestones or family legacy, but Scripture asks: What does your walk with the LORD look like today? Drawing a powerful historical parallel to Pyongyang, North Korea—once known as the "Jerusalem of the East" during the 1907 revival before turning completely away—this message challenges us to guard against complacency and run our race to finish strong in JESUS CHRIST.
